Ras Al Khaimah has refined its tourism strategy to appeal to a broader range of visitors, including families and adventure seekers.
Ras Al Khaimah has been working with the private sector to develop new products, such as hotels and resorts, that appeal to a wider range of visitors. As per RAK Tourism Authority (RTA), they are seeing an increasing demand for family and staycation packages in the emirate.
Hotel rooms in Ras Al Khaimah are expected to reach 18,500 by 2023, a 14 percent compound annual growth rate (CAGR) over the next five years.
Ras Al Khaimah is expected to see hotel room supply grow 14 percent over the next five years, according to Hotel News Now. The emirate has a strong pipeline of new hotels under construction and planned.
The emirate is one of the most attractive markets in the region thanks to its strategic location along some of the world’s busiest trade routes, as well as strong government support for tourism.
Google Trends displays the estimated demand of a particular keyword based on how much people are searching for it.
The three hotels we considered, and their demand graphs are as follows (Jan – Dec,2022):

As seen in the graph, there’s an increase in demand at the start and end of the year, then it’s pretty much moderate after the mid of May to Oct.
As Google is no longer a search engine used in Russia, so we moved to the Russian search engine Yandex for our analysis:

Clearly, Hilton RAK Beach Resort has the maximum search volume in Russia compared to the rest of the hotels in our selection (Both EN & RU language).
Our search uncovered another astonishing fact, which is that although the Hilton RAK beach resort has the most searches, there’s still a lot of demand for destination “Ras Al Khaimah”—which isn’t yet tapped.
One more astonishing fact we found out during our search is that even though Hilton RAK beach resort has the maximum number of searches, there’s still a lot of demand for destination ‘Ras Al Khaimah’ which is not tapped yet.
In the Ven diagram below, you can see that there are more than 22,000 monthly searches in Ras al Khaimah on Yandex—a major Russian search engine. That number is untapped by any hotel marketing campaign!
For the UK market, our analysis shows that holds a very
strong position compared to other hotels in our list.
Waldorf Astoria RAK accounts for 74% of the total Google search volume,
Hilton RAK Beach Resort 18%, and 8% is accounted by The Ritz Carlton hotel
in Ras Al Khaimah.
For hotels to build their brand and increase revenues, social media engagement with potential guests is an important factor in driving bookings and increasing customer loyalty.
